We took a phased approach when reopening our showrooms, taking cues from local public health officials to implement new policies to protect the health of our customers, employees, and communities.
Here’s what’s new:
Limited Staff & Reduced Daily Appointments
We are reducing the number of overlapping shifts for our staff, and limiting the appointments we take each hour to minimize the number of people in our spaces at any given time. We kindly request that you limit your appointment to 2 guests—one person in addition to the person who has the appointment.
We are unable to accommodate group fittings during this time.
Face Mask Requirement
As some states and communities begin lifting COVID-19 restrictions, we want to reiterate our approach and clearly communicate that we will maintain OSHA and CDC Guidelines by State.
In all states, The Black Tux Showrooms have lifted some mask restrictions and will no longer require face coverings for fully-vaccinated customers and employees unless required under local guidelines. No proof of vaccination is required for customers. Both our fully vaccinated staff and customers will have the option to wear face coverings unless required under local guidelines. Understand that in some cases this may mean that our employees will opt to wear a mask whether they are vaccinated or not.
If an unvaccinated customer is unwilling to wear a mask (or a customer is unwilling to wear a mask in a location where local mask requirements are in effect), we will respectfully ask that the appointment is rescheduled. Face masks will be provided for anyone in need.
If you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, we ask that you please reschedule your appointment for a later date, ensuring we keep everyone safe.
If you are noticeably experiencing symptoms similar to COVID-19, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment.
Creating a safe environment for all.
In addition to changing the way we’ll interact in our showrooms, we’re also taking the following steps to ensure our spaces are clean and safe:
- Limiting the number of customers to promote social distancing including utilizing fitting rooms with 6 feet distance apart
- Designating order pickup and drop-off areas to minimize person-to-person contact.
- Thoroughly disinfecting fitting rooms and high touch surfaces throughout the day, and closing our restrooms.Tape measures are only used upon request and disinfected after use.
Each showroom capacity is dependent on the guidance of local public health officials and will be decided on a state-by-state basis. To check the status of a showroom near you, or to book a showroom appointment, please visit our showrooms page.
